"The painting was inspired by the longest and the best known Romanian poem,
"The evening Star", by Mihai Eminescu.

In the poem, the girl asks the star always to come and be with her,
to guide her way
in good times and bad times.

You can see all the colors, very bright in the middle, and dark, dark way out on the edges. You'd have to read the poem to understand my preference for these particular colors.

The star - I didn't want it to be obvious, to look like an execrate little kindergarden star,so I just spread it out, so it could join with the background.
