How wrong
we are to believe that the faith of our nations
lies in someone else's hands or circumstances.
How selfish to think that our own intentions and action
have little or no apparent influence on humanity's future
and blindly we brush aside the
"caution signs"
we may experience in our pursuit of everlasting peace.
We all must bond by the conviction
that we have a universal interest
towards which we would perform
and for which we would sacrifice.
